Steampunk Hold Lore
“Every turn you survive, the clock ticks further in your favor.”
The Hold That Counts the Hours
Steampunk Hold was carved into a mountain that never stopped moving. Its forges run on schedules older than the kingdoms around them, and its engineers speak of time the way other realms speak of steel — as a resource to be spent, wasted, or hoarded.
Nothing built in the Hold is meant to win a battle quickly. Every gearwork sentinel, every ticking device sealed into a chest plate, is built to still be running long after the enemy's momentum has spent itself. In Steampunk Hold, the war isn't won in the opening clash — it's won by whoever the clock was built to favor.
