Orc Horde Deck
“Hit first, hit harder, hit again.”
Orc Horde Strategy
Orc fields the single highest power stats in the game — Fire Giant's 11 power at cost 10 tops every other faction — and snowballs from there: Rage permanently grows on taking damage and surviving, Slayer permanently grows on landing a kill, and Orc alone fields Windfury, letting a unit attack twice in the same turn.
How the Deck Plays
Attack whenever you can; Rage and Slayer both reward staying in combat rather than holding back, and Windfury units should almost always use both of their attacks.
- Early game: Play your biggest available threat every turn and start attacking immediately — Orc rarely wants to hold back.
- Mid game: Keep attacking to trigger Rage and Slayer growth, and prioritize getting both hits in with Windfury units.
- Late game: Finish the race with a snowballed Rage/Slayer threat or a raw stat finisher like Fire Giant.
Key Mechanics
Orc Horde is built around 5 core keywords:
- RAGE
- SLAYER
- TRAMPLE
- WINDFURY
- BLOODHUNT
Windfury units can attack twice in the same turn instead of once — always use both attacks if there's a legal target.
Strengths and Weaknesses
Strengths
- Highest raw power output of any faction
- Rage and Slayer snowball out of control if left unanswered
- Windfury doubles a single unit's damage output for free
Weaknesses
- Low toughness across the board means Orc trades poorly if forced onto defense
- Falls off hard if the early aggression gets stopped
- Has few tools to come back from behind
Recommended Strategy
Deploy the biggest, hardest-hitting units you can every turn and attack relentlessly — Orc doesn't want to think too hard, it wants to swing.
Win condition: Race the opponent's castle down before they can stabilize, snowballing damage output the longer combat continues.
