Undead Dominion Deck
“Nothing you kill actually stays dead.”
Undead Dominion Strategy
Undead is built around Rebirth, the single most concentrated keyword in the game — 10 of its 26 units return to your hand at 1 HP the first time they'd die. Curse chips away at the opponent turn after turn, and Raise Dead, the game's only Reanimate spell, can pull a random unit straight back out of the graveyard.
How the Deck Plays
Attack and block aggressively with Rebirth units — a trade that would be a loss for any other deck often costs Undead nothing at all.
- Early game: Trade Rebirth units into anything — you'll get them back in hand at 1 HP, so these 'losses' cost you almost nothing.
- Mid game: Let Curse chip away at the opponent's castle while you keep recycling Rebirth units through combat.
- Late game: Use Raise Dead to pull back a key unit from the graveyard and close with a recursive threat like Dracolich or Lich.
Key Mechanics
Undead Dominion is built around 3 core keywords:
- REBIRTH
- CURSE
- REANIMATE
Rebirth means a unit doesn't die the first time it would — it returns to your hand at 1 HP instead, so trading it away isn't really a loss.
Strengths and Weaknesses
Strengths
- Rebirth makes most trades effectively free
- Curse provides steady, hard-to-answer damage over time
- Raise Dead can recover a strong unit that already died
Weaknesses
- Rebirth units return at only 1 HP, so they die again easily on a second hit
- Raise Dead is random — you can't guarantee which unit comes back
- Can be slow to close a game outright
Recommended Strategy
Trade fearlessly with Rebirth units since 'losing' them just returns them to your hand, then grind the opponent down with Curse and recursive value.
Win condition: Outlast the opponent through recursive value and repeated Curse damage until Dracolich or another late threat closes the game.
