Long ago, the Damned Covenant made a bargain no other kingdom would sign: power in exchange for something of your own. Not gold, not land — blood, spent willingly, again and again, until spending it becomes second nature.

Every soldier of the Covenant carries the same understanding: strength here is never free, and pretending otherwise gets you killed. What separates a Covenant commander from a fool isn't whether they're willing to bleed for an advantage — it's whether they know exactly how much they can afford to lose before the bargain turns against them.
